Hellevator: Renewed for a second season long-ago. Chance of renewal (for Season 2): 100% (flat)
Skin Wars: Last week, the already-renewed Skin Wars hit a season high. RuPaul and Skin Wars are not going anywhere on GSN especially looking at the fantastic Skin Wars: Fresh Paint ratings. Chance of renewal (for Season 4): 99% (flat)
Skin Wars: Fresh Paint: There is really not one large negative chunk of news from the ratings for the Skin Wars: Fresh Paint premiere last week. The only negative piece of news was that Skin Wars: Fresh Paint dropped 6% in total viewers from lead-in Skin Wars. Other than that, last Wednesday's premiere with 619,000 total viewers and 219,000 18-49 viewers was the highest-rated GSN series premiere since Skin Wars in 2014, rose from Skin Wars in 18-49's (by 7%) and had a median viewer age of 50 years old, a statistic very healthy for GSN.
I was wrong in last week's renewal odds for now-but this is only one week. I do think Skin Wars: Fresh Paint, at the moment, has a shot at renewal a lot better than Winsanity. We have to continue to see how Skin Wars: Fresh Paint plays out after its first three airings without the Skin Wars lead-in. Chance of renewal (for Season 2): 80% (up 25% from last week)
Winsanity: Ratings for Winsanity were not too strong last week. Compared to the prior week (June 9th premiere), there was a quarter, plus, of an audience drop in total viewers but 18-49 viewers went up just a few percentage points. From lead-in, Winsanity at 9pm lost nearly half of all total viewers and more than a third of 18-49 viewers from Family Feud. The second new episode of Winsanity at 9:30pm dropped 11% in both 18-49 and total viewers from the first new Winsanity.
All in all, not too good for Winsanity especially on paper next to more positive ratings from Skin Wars (which rose week to week and also from its lead-in Family Feud) and Skin Wars: Fresh Paint. Chance of renewal (for Season 2): 65% (down 5% from last week)
Idiotest: Numbers were a little bleak this week, even with all the attention for the nude episode. Ratings showed a tremendous drop from lead-in Family Feud and another drop to the second new episode of Idiotest at 10:30pm. In addition, a season low in 18-49 viewers for Idiotest. Numbers need a turn-around for the possibility of a fourth season, because neither 18-49 or total viewers are classified as 'renewable'. Chance of renewal: 50% (down 5% from last week)
