Hellevator: Season 2 currently casting with 4 hour-long episodes coming this Fall (with changes). Chance of renewal (for Season 2): 100% (flat)
Skin Wars: Even with last week's series low, there is still no doubt that Skin Wars will have its fourth season. GSN should be concerned about the declining ratings. Potential changes to Skin Wars could be coming. Chance of renewal (for Season 4): 99% (flat)
Idiotest: In the first five Tuesdays (April 12-May 10), Idiotest averaged 341,000 total viewers and 102,000 18-49 viewers. I always exclude the April 20th airing, which followed Political Idiotest, but inserting that episode into the mix lowers the 11-episode average to 331,000 total viewers and 99,000 18-49 viewers. With both averages, the percentage of viewers under 50 years of age for Idiotest remains at 30%, meaning the median viewer age is approximately 57 (great for GSN). There is the good news.
Comparing the first ten episodes of this current season of Idiotest to the first ten in Season 2 in their regular Tuesday airings, this season of Idiotest is down 13% in total viewers and also down 22% in 18-49 viewers. There is the bad news.
With only 13 of 40 Idiotest episodes aired so far this season (with the 14th and 15th airing tomorrow), it's still far too early to tell-or even lean-to a renewal or cancellation decision for Idiotest. I do believe a month from now we will have a much better picture based on how Winsanity performs. If Winsanity, GSN's newest traditional game show (in the same department as Idiotest) becomes this runaway hit with a median viewer age of 40 and Idiotest continues its year-to-year-to-year slump, then GSN could move away from Idiotest and more towards Winsanity. A Winsanity success is "possible", but Winsanity being a smash hit (similar to Bible and Skin Wars) is unlikely. Still, I do believe an Idiotest renewal is reliant on Winsanity success. Chance of renewal (for Season 4): 65% (flat)
