GameShowNetworkNews statement regarding feedback from Jen and Sylvia Soska

After coming upon solid (although not confirmed by GSN) news about the future of Hellevator, Jen and Sylvia Soska felt the need to attack us through Twitter since they did not like what they heard: the truth.

For the record, I am not mean. A Hellevator cancellation or a Hellevator renewal but with major changes (including a change in hosts) are both plausible (and not mean!). Look at the Hellevator Season 1 ratings: The show started out very strong in ratings and young skewing but later fell in ratings, and big, but remained one of GSN's youngest-skewing shows throughout the entire season. I gave Jen and Sylvia Soska a superb Hellevator review, better than all others around the internet. Never have I rooted for Hellevator cancellation or for the Soska sisters to not be associated with the show. However, it has become a known fact that those within Hellevator "behind the scenes" production (mainly with props/the body actors/crew) see the future of Hellevator without the Soska sisters.

Also for the record, my personal beliefs are that Hellevator should be renewed for an eight episode second season with not too many format changes. Also, yes, keep Jen and Sylvia Soska as co-hosts. The mistake with Hellevator last Fall was the time of year it aired. Airing a Halloween-themed show from October 21-December 16th is like airing a Christmas show from December 15-February 10. In 2016, Hellevator should start and end in (or very close to) October, where it belongs!

Is GameShowNetworkNews a real news source? Yes, absolutely. GSN sends us advanced schedules (seen on the right on desktop site) and press releases directly. We even receive completely accurate news about the future of GSN shows before anywhere else from accurate GSN insider sources such as Example 1, Example 2 and Example 3.

Also, does it occur to Jen and Sylvia Soska that we had the full Hellevator premiere a month before the premiere date (October 21st) in order to review it? I call that connection to the shows!

GameShowNetworkNews is much more than a fan site. In fact, I nor anyone besides the Soska sisters have ever considered this site a fan site. It is clearly a credible news site.

When it comes to "hits" (as I guess they are called), GameShowNetworkNews was up 73% in pageviews in January 2016 over January 2015 (32,386 versus 18,703). From February 2016 since February 2015, GameShowNetworkNews was up 48% in pageviews (26,118 versus 17,706).

Jen Soska, Sylvia Soska or anyone else who is not convinced: Please leave a comment or contact if you have more concerns.

  1. Jeez, seems like the Soskas can't take anything seriously. They have to resort to insults if they can't see facts.

  2. "It is clearly a credible news site." It is? Saying the Chase was cancelled, when GSN has NEVER SAID IT WAS, is not credible. Credible news site my ass!

  3. It's not your facts, it's your personal comments about your facts that can be wrong. Your last post before this one was extremely irresponsible reporting because it was false reporting about my REBLOGGED post. Jen and Sylvia DID NOT say those things, I did! Just stick to the facts if you want to be recognized as a news website rather than a fan site. Most days, you're a credit to GSN, but you dropped the ball today.

  4. I got three words for you:
    Alex Fuckin' Davis.

  5. It's really not that big of a deal. All this hooblah about some words is nothing to stress over. If the show comes back, awesome. I'm going to try and hop on it. If it doesn't, then it was a brilliant run. And will remain in TV history as a great concept. I will vouch for Joe though. Those were indeed his words that you used in a previous posting. While I feel an apology in regards to mistaken credit is due, I can't make you do it. Just be mindful of where the words are being sourced from. When it comes to the Soskas, either you love them or you hate them. There's no gray area. But they are also human. And as humans, we say and do things that might not be favorable to others. What's true for you might not be true for them. And vice versa. Just agree to disagree. And leave it at that. That's all. :)

    1. Hellevator, a brilliant run? LOL. You must be one of those people Donald Trump "really, really loves."

  6. if ghetto blacks like it they will renew it. thats why chain reaction and the chase weren't renewed because not enough negros watch it.
