Back to back NEW episodes of 'Chain Reaction' with Mike Catherwood tonight on GSN at 8pm & 8:30pm ET

There are only three weeks worth of episodes remaining for new runs of Mike Catherwood-hosted Chain Reaction. Back to back new Chain Reaction episodes air tonight on GSN at 8pm and 8:30pm ET.

These episodes encore at 11pm and 11:30pm ET later tonight plus Saturday at 3pm and 3:30pm ET.

For tonight's theme: In the 8:30pm ET new run (the second new run), two tall men compete against two small women.

  1. Not sure why this hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet, but I wanted to repost it from the front page of Yahoo.

Los Angeles(Yahoo News-AP)-Long running CBS game show The Price is Right will be having the contest of all contests very soon, only no one will know they are in on the giveaway until they actually win. Fremantle Media Productions has announced the millionth contestant called into bidders row on the daily show will immediately be presented with a check for $1 million. Actually it will be an annuity of $20,000 per year for 50 years, but regardless it's swell payday for someone who only planned to watch the taping of a game show. When contacted Fremantle would not divulge when this should occur, keeping it under tights wraps to prolong the excitement of the final outcome.

Can anyone do the math and get a close guesstimate of when this will happen? I'm guessing they are taking the contestant count starting with the '72 premiere and only CBS daytime eps.. I'd love to be in the audience for this.

    1. I'm not a fan of TPIR. I just do not watch, but my guess would be within the next year if they are announcing the contest now.

    2. Rahner, do you really believe this? There's no such contest. Not to mention the wording in that article is hardly something that would come from Yahoo news and AP. Sandberg, quit making shit up.

    3. Actually I cut and pasted directly but had to do it in 2 parts. One sentence seems ungrammatical because it's where part 1 and 2 were put together. There's a missing 'a' between 'it's' and 'swell'. This was one of the stories tossed in between Wal-Mart shutting down stores, Chipotle closing for a day and some TMZ report. Original time posted was about 30 minutes before I copied it to here. If I can make up stories this good I might go into screen writing. I use my real name but you go by anonymous. I wonder who has the most trust.

    4. How do I know JT Sandberg is your real name? And also, why can't I find this story anywhere else but on here? You don't think people would have reported it on Facebook, on game show message boards, and on other blogs, perhaps? I call shenanigans unless you can provide the source.

    5. Sandberg, real name vs. anonymous have NOTHING to do with "most trust." That fat fart Casey Abull thinks the exact same thing. You're as wrong as he is.

    6. No one else wants to do your math, so here goes. On every one hour edition of TPiR, they call down 9 potential contestants. It would take 111,111 eps. to reach the milestone w/ the next show. Taping seasons vary widely from year to year, as early seasons were 50-52 weeks. For the sake of easy math, let's say they shoot 200 shows per year on avg. from '72 'til today. They would reach their 1,000,000 milestone around the year 2500. They won't be taping this show for a little while, so hold off on ordering tickets.

    7. Thanks Tammy! I bet Sandberg has nothing to say in his defense because his article's been exposed as a fraud.
