Ratings 8/8: 'Family Feud' HOT in primetime; 'Idiotest' reruns weak

From Douglas Pucci (at TVMediaInsights):

Saturday 8/8 GSN primetime lineup (in total viewers; all times ET):
8:00pm Family Feud: 576K
8:30pm Family Feud: 559K (-3% from lead in)
9:00pm Family Feud: 520K (-7%)
9:30pm Family Feud: 529K (+2%)
10:00pm Idiotest: 309K (-42%)
10:30pm Idiotest: 239K (-23%)
Primetime average (8-11pm): 455,000 total viewers.

So the all powerful Steve Harvey Family Feud is powerful once again. The lead in to this primetime block was four hours of, yes, Family Feud. My guess would be that Family Feud was strong, if not stronger pre-primetime looking at the 8pm number, the highest of the night.

What a severe drop for Idiotest at both 10pm and 10:30pm. There is no reason for this big drop. Idiotest seems to be fading and I quite simply don't get why there just isn't more Family Feud to fill out at least that last hour of primetime. I doubt with those type of numbers Idiotest will be long for that timeslot.

For the week of August 3-9, GSN averaged 434,000 total viewers in primetime. This night above raised the average slightly but would have raised the average more without Idiotest.
