Dear Fellow GameShowNetworkNews readers and commenters,
As a long time and passionate member in the game show news world, Game Show Network happenings and a fan of GSN and game shows altogether, I have never seen such disrespect in this game show community as activity on twitter by Chad Mosher yesterday, Friday, August 7th, 2015.
In fact, Chad was so impersonal in the fabricated messages he did not even tag our twitter account, twitter.com/greatgameshows, in his disrespectful and inappropriate tweets.
Since 2013, Chad has kept referring to a self-published, not backed up TwitLonger post. By not backed up, two of the three links at the bottom referred you to a "404 error" page on Google, not on our site, GameShowNetworkNews, and his third link is another fabrication that is yet another dead end.
In that TwitLonger post, Chad tried to take down our very loyal and dedicated site to Game Show Network. In April 2013, when that message was written, GameShowNetworkNews averaged 6,013 pageviews (200 pageviews a day, none of them by me since Blogger has the option not to track the creator's own pageviews, which I choose). You think by Chad saying "To anyone who may visit a blog called 'GameShowNetworkNews' - stop doing it now. He's a con and a fraud", that would loose pageviews, right? Incorrect. Three months later, July 2013, we at GameShowNetworkNews were up to 8,600 pageviews that month (average of 277 pageviews a day). In April 2014, we hit 13,634 pageviews that month (445 pageviews per day). That's a 122% jump from April 2013 to April 2014. Just last month in July 2015, we hit 27,978 pageviews for that month only (average of 903 pageviews per day). The last two days, GameShowNetworkNews has had over 2,600 pageviews (1,313 on Thursday the 6th; 1,311 on Friday 7th).
I understand not all of our 2,600 pageviews the past two days are people looking for ratings for The Chase and Skin Wars or voting on the sidebar polls. Some just get here through Google searches and some get here to talk about how much they love or hate today's "black" Family Feud in the comment section. Overall, GameShowNetworkNews is growing, and I highly doubt that many people in the game show news universe are visiting a site that is made by a "con and a fraud."
Chad Mosher, however, is no stranger to the game show world and may even be more knowledgeable in the game show world than myself. In the past fifteen or so years, Chad has appeared on Jeopardy!, Million Dollar Password, Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, and earlier this year, Wheel of Fortune (which I made a nice post about his winnings). These latest comments from Chad are not like the usual, professional Chad who has been successful in competing on four major game shows and as a substitute teacher. These comments were quite unprofessional and unruly.
Since this is a personal attack against the creation of our Twitter account, we have 15 followers in two days, but look who some of them are:
In the first two days at our twitter account, we picked up a tiny fifteen followers. However, among those followers are game show fans that often comment here. Thank you for following us! Also among our followers are major GSN personalities, including Ben Gleib, host of GSN's Idiotest, Avi Ram, semi-finalist on GSN's hit Skin Wars, Mike Catherwood, host of Chain Reaction, Natalie Fletcher, Season 1 winner of GSN's hit Skin Wars, and finally Mark Labbett, "The Beast" on GSN's mega-hit The Chase. In addition, Mark Labbett, Rebecca Romijn and Robin Slonina have favorited and re-tweeted our tweets. In other words, coming out and saying I am a "proven liar, identity their [and] rabble rouser" does not exactly seem true when forty percent of our followers are major players in the GSN television channel today.
It is a pleasure that each day I get to write about GSN happenings, whether if it is a schedule change, casting calls, sidebar polls or awaiting ratings in late afternoons on Thursday and Friday for GSN originals!
