All Times Eastern

  1. I guess I was totally misinformed. I thought each Chain Reaction was an hour. Now they will be double running the 40 ep order, meaning only 20 hours instead of 40. If this becomes a hit let's see how long it takes us to get sick of the same constant reruns.

  2. Off-topic but a first for GSN, as I posted at Game Show Follies...

GSN recorded a small but interesting milestone for the June 22-28 week. The network snuck onto the list of total day viewer averages at TV by the Numbers with 377K. GSN has been creeping up the charts lately, and even TV by the Numbers has finally taken note. It's a terrific total day number by the network's historical standards.

    1. Let me reach into Excel and see if I can find a time since 2012 (when primetime/total day averages have been tracked fully for GSN from knowledge) and see if the daytime average has hit close to this before. ...

    2. Well, it's not actually a first. Back when TVBTN used to publish longer lists of cable networks, GSN would sometimes sneak onto the charts. But that was a long time ago, and this is the first time in a long while that GSN has appeared on the TVBTN charts.

    3. Since 2012 (and mostly likely before in the network's history), it does not appear the total day average has ever been this high. Year to date, the total day average is up 35% (from a 245K total day average June 23-29, 2014).

It appears on the list GSN has ranked 30th in total day for last week.

    4. To analyze this further, I cannot possibly see any major schedule changes happening any day soon while new eps of The Chase and Chain Reaction will help a little more, at the very least.

Also to take note, there was that morning schedule change effective last Monday. As we saw in recent weekday morning ratings, pre-1990's out-perform shows from later on (like Shop and Catch 21) in the 10am hour, so that change definitely contributed.
