'The Chase' Season 3 finale down 42% week to week; loses 47% of audience from Season 2 finale

The Chase finale, which aired last Tuesday night (12/16) on GSN fell massively in total viewers. The finale, at 8pm ET, drew a season low 434,000 total viewers, down 42% from the prior new episode, which drew 743,000 total viewers and a 47% drop from the prior season finale which received 818,000 total viewers on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in the same timeslot.

From the sidebar poll, predictions were way too optimistic. The majority of voters said The Chase finale would draw between 600,000 and 743,000 viewers (great ratings but not a season high), while nearly in 2nd place voters said The Chase would see a season high, over 743,000 viewers. Only one person said The Chase would hit a season low, which it did.

The lead-in to The Chase, Steve Harvey's Family Feud at 7:30pm ET, drew 531,000 total viewers. The Chase fell 18% in total viewers from its lead-in. The prior week an episode of Steve Harvey Family Feud at the exact same time drew 901,000 total viewers.
