Updates: 'The Chase' & 'Skin Wars' casting; 'Deal or No Deal' ratings

Good morning GSN fans!
The Chase is casting for its fourth season this weekend in Chicago and San Francisco. Casting will occur on Saturday in both these cities. Your must be 18 years or older to apply for casting. If you auditioned for Season 3 of The Chase in the first half of 2014, you will not be able to audition for Season 4. But, if you auditioned for Season 1 or 2 in 2013, you can apply to be a contestant on the upcoming season. Auditions are ongoing in Los Angeles. For exact details on location, go to You can still send in a video submission.

Skin Wars is also casting for a second season, according to a post on GSN's Facebook page which redirects you to the GSNTV casting page, where GSN claims ten shows are casting (while four actually are, The Chase, It Takes a Church, Baggage On The Road and Skin Wars).

According to Douglas Pucci (@SonoftheBronx), Deal or No Deal averaged 134,000 total viewers in the 11am ET hour the week of September 15-19, minus the 18th (where Super Password airs). This compares to the most recent Let's Ask America numbers we have seen from September 8-12, where Let's Ask America averaged 127,000 viewers in the 12pm ET hour. These Deal or No Deal numbers are notably poor in comparison with the GSN total day average for the week of September 15-21, which was 243,000 viewers.

  1. When can we see the schedule for the week of September 29-October 5 in 21-page format?

  2. At GameShowFollies, the October 6-12 21-page format is available but the September 29-October 5 is in one-page format. Very odd because the 21-page format for next week was already available, which is how we found out about the celebrity guests on All Star Secrets and Babble, but then GSN made changes weekdays.

I would say in the next few days, if not by the end of today. Next week is coming up soon.

  3. So...Deal or No Deal averaged 134,000 total viewers in the 11am ET hour the week of September 15-19.

Super Password & Lingo averaged 175,000 total viewers May 5th - 11th ()the last week full #'s were available on the net)

GSN needs to stop screwing around and BRING THE CLASSICS BACK

  4. For the shows casting, it's just a list of their shows. Acquisitions Family Feud and Let's Ask America are on that list, as well as cancelled shows Mind of a Man and Minute to Win It and the possibly cancelled The American Bible Challenge.

If you read my comment in the schedule changes post, I would put Super Password and Blockbusters in the 11am hour.

    1. Minute to Win It was not cancelled.

    2. Yes it has. They don't promote it anymore (except for the outdated Get Smarter Now ad, which needs to be updated). It only airs on Sundays, and was technicaly cancelled last year. They just didn't air all the episodes until this past April.

  5. Minute to Win It was cancelled loooonnnng ago by GSN. September 2, 2013 to be exact.
