Ratings: 'The Chase', 'Idiotest' both hit season high; 'Skin Wars' down

Game Show Network's newest hit Skin Wars lost 9% of total viewership and received 658,000 total viewers for its fourth episode, which aired Wednesday night at 9pm ET. Last week's season high received 725,000 total viewers (and a remarkable 298,000 18-49 viewers). This fourth episode is only down 6% from the August 6th premiere, which had 697,000 total viewers.

This past Tuesday, the new episode of The Chase at 8pm ET scored 651,000 total viewers, up 8% from last week's 596,000 total viewers. The Chase has now surpassed American Bible Challenge as Game Show Network's number one original this Spring/Summer.

Idiotest, in its third week which had two new episodes Tuesday night at 9pm ET and 9:30pm ET had a season high at 9pm, with 485,000 total viewers. This is up 8% from last week in that timeslot. Idiotest at 9:30pm had 450,000 total viewers, up 9% from last week in that timeslot. Both episodes of Idiotest from this week, week 3, are higher than last week, week 2.

On the sidebar polls, 23% of voters believed this week's new episode of Skin Wars would score between 600,000 and 725,000 viewers, which it did. The majority, 41%, believed Skin Wars would see another season high. 73% of voters were correct when asked if The Chase would see a season high, which it did. Only 7% of voters believed Idiotest would see a season high, which it did, while 55%, the majority believed Idiotest would see a season low.

Overall, Idiotest is up 8% from week to week (week 2 to week 3). Idiotest just had its highest rated pair of new episodes, in total viewers, yet.
