Last night's (July 10th, 8pm ET) second Semi-Final of American Bible Challenge scored 587,000 total viewers, up 8 percent from the first Semi-Final which aired June 26th. This is the second highest rated episode of American Bible Challenge this season.
Last night's (July 10th, 9pm ET) episode of It Takes a Church scored 392,000 total viewers, down 6 percent versus the last episode which aired June 26th. It Takes a Church dropped a staggering 33 percent from its lead-in, American Bible Challenge.
Earlier, we published an opinion/prediction article here at GameShowNetworkNews on whether American Bible Challenge and It Takes a Church would be renewed for fourth and second full seasons. My answer was it is very probable, and still is. American Bible Challenge, with this episode has now averaged 549,000 total viewers, only 6 percent lower than the second season The Chase which obviously received a third season but still 32 percent lower than the first eight episodes of Bible Season 2. It Takes a Church has now averaged 399,000 viewers. Both shows still have airings above the regular primetime average, which lately has averaged 320,000 to 340,000 viewers week-to-week.
Come July 24th and July 31st, we will have to see how It Takes a Church performs minus the Bible lead-in. The Newlywed Game will be the lead-in instead, which has been working in a 9-11pm (ET) rerun block on Friday nights.
