GSN Schedule for week of August 11-17

Skin Wars gets large reduction in rerun slots while Idiotest will only air six hours a week, only five hours of those are rerun slots; Steve Harvey's Family Feud gains slots on Thursday and Saturday nights; Dog Eat Dog comes back to Saturday afternoons; The Pyramid returns while John O'Hurley's Family Feud loses its weekend slots completely.

(There are currently no updates to the August 4-10 schedule, where it is currently unknown what episode of The Chase, new or rerun will air prior to Skin Wars on August 6th)

Please note the previous changes from the week of August 4-10.

All Times Eastern

  1. No new episodes of the second season of the Family Channel version of Shop 'Til You Drop.

  2. Idiotest will actually rerun on Wednesday at 10:00 and 10:30, not Thursday.

It Takes a Church has likely reached the end, as I don't see this show getting another season.

One thing I'd like to point out. 1 vs 100 only airs once a week (Saturdays at 1pm) which leads me to think that it will leave the schedule once its lease expires in November.

You know you have nothing to air when 2 placeholders (Game Show Moments Gone Bananas and Baggage) are on Sunday nights. I'm assuming that the Monopoly show coming later this year will air on Sunday nights, first run or rerun.

Oh, and please don't turn the comment section into another pointless Shop til You Drop discussion. Honestly, who cares about what Dee Baker was wearing? I don't want to see 14 comments about an 8 episode lease from 1997. The fact is those episodes last a week and then it's back to the PAX episodes. In conclusion, please don't discuss Shop til You Drop in a schedule post when there's no change for it whatsoever.

    1. Error fixed.

Plus, maybe 1 vs. 100 (Saget) is getting worn out. There was a time in the past year when the 28 episodes of Saget's 1 vs. 100 aired 8+ times a week. Who knows if this re-acquisition is just a one year lease, but it does look like Saget's version of 1 vs. 100 is becoming more and more limited.

  3. Basically, It Takes a Church has been duplicating GSN's recent prime time average of about 350K viewers. In other words, it hasn't flopped and it hasn't hit. I don't have a clue if it will get a second season. Probably a toss-up at this point.

  4. According to my TV guide, a number of these changes occur next week. Such as...

It Takes a Church leaves schedule.
    Harvey Feud takes Thursday nights.
Dog Eat Dog moves to 4pm Saturdays.
    Baggage comes to Sunday nights.

The Pyramid still does not air August 10.
