Casey Abell at GameShowFollies posted a comment on this blog post about the possibility of GSN never acquiring a pre-1990's show again, with "maybe a few shows from the 1990's and 2000's."
Casey flat out stated "I don't expect any more really old stuff on the
network. Maybe a few more shows from the 1990s and 2000s." That really
shocks me, considering pre-1990's covers 21 hours a week in programming
and really don't do too badly considering they are 30 year old game
shows. You can see more of the conversation at GameShowFollies. JP also jumped in there as well.
Well, I'm not going to rant about anything and I definitely agree with Casey, like on his thought about Mind of a Man and other game shows in general, but I think more 50 episode pick-ups of Press Your Luck, Shop 'Til You Drop and Blockbusters are bound to happen within the next few months.
I really can't see GSN filling the 8am to noon space with Shop 'Til You Drop, Deal or No Deal and Karn Feud anyday soon.
