The finale last night (February 4th) for The Chase scored 818,000 total viewers and 111K in the 18-49 demographic. This is down in total viewership only one percent from last week's series high of 827,000 viewers (and 234K in the 18-49 demo). This week's episode is down 53% in the 18-49 demographic (234K to 111K 18-49)
This finale is still up 38% in total viewers since the season 1 finale which scored 509,000 total viewers. The Season 2 finale (last night) is up 45% in total viewers versus the Season 2 Premiere which scored 453,000 total viewers on November 5th.
With this news, the numbers are in for the averages of the first and second season of The Chase. The first season, six episodes in August and September averaged 464,000 total viewers while the second season, 11 episodes from November through February has jumped 20% to 584,000 total viewers.
Douglas Pucci also mentions the ratings' records GSN has broken in January 2014 mainly due to the success of The Chase, Steve Harvey's Family Feud and in addition, Mind of a Man. This all follows a record-high 2013 in ratings. The official press release can be seen here.
