The Chase has done it again. Last night (January 28th) for its new hour-long episode at 8pm The Chase rose 13% versus last week to 827,000 total viewers (versus 721,000 total viewers on January 21st). The 18-49 demographic also set a series high (and most likely a recent GSN high, at least since American Bible Challenge) with 234,000 18-49's.

The 9pm encore of The Chase (from previous week) saw 453,000 viewers, also extremely impressive and above the norm. Steve Harvey's Family Feud at 6:30pm saw 808,000 viewers.

Include this latest new episode, new runs of The Chase Season 2 (November 5-Now, 10 episodes) have averaged 560,000 viewers, where new runs of The Chase in Season 1 (August 6-September 3, 6 episodes) averaged 464,000 viewers.

For the week of January 20-26, GSN averaged 405K/350K primetime/total day.

  1. I just noticed something. Starting this Monday, Mind of a Man is out of the 7pm hour, replaced by Mr. Rerun, who now airs every weeknight at 7:00pm and 7:30pm. Which means the 7pm hour is no longer a part of block scheduling.

Just thought you'd like to know for future posts.

  2. No kidding. Steve Harvey's Family Feud in the January 20-26 ratings put up 16 of 18 top slots. Huge numbers, only one show can do that. I'm not surprised at all.
