I can see some logical sense in these changes. Chuck's Lingo is a good lead-out to The $100,000 Pyramid and a similar time era to Karn Family Feud and Shop 'Til You Drop, two shows which have done well in the noon hour the past six months. The time period for Chuck's Lingo (early/mid 2000's) is perfect for the transition from the classic to modern lineup. Maybe GSN did not want too many slots for Shop 'Til You Drop after all, which would have totaled three hours an afternoon if it wasn't for this change.
Deal or No Deal coming to the 3pm hour is a bit strange to me for more than one reason. Chain Reaction has been doing so strong after another word-association game, The Pyramid. Second, Chain Reaction has been a great lead-in to Shop 'Til You Drop. We'll have to see how Shop holds without Chain Reaction.
With this schedule change this marks the lowest number of Richard Karn Family Feud airings per week since the Karn version launched on the network in early 2007. Richard Karn Family Feud now has four slots per week, the O'Hurley version has eighteen per week now and the Steve Harvey version has sixty, totaling 82 slots per week of Family Feud.
