'The Chase' up slightly from previous new run

Source: SonoftheBronx Twitter (Douglas Pucci)

Last night's new run for The Chase on GSN at 8pm (ET) received 466,000 total viewers, up three percent from the previous new run on Tuesday, November 19th. This is the highest number for The Chase this season (which started November 5th).

The first four episodes for season 2 of The Chase have now averaged 451,000 viewers while the first four episodes for the first season scored 443,000 viewers (Season 1 averaged 464,000 viewers for all six episodes)

No 18-49 demos or 9pm (ET) repeat have been published yet.

SonoftheBronx also reports that the 11pm (ET) rerun scored 239,000 total viewers, a respectful number but significantly lower than Steve Harvey's Family Feud scored the rest of the week in that hour.

ALSO: This is old news now but Family Feud has been renewed for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons which are also the 17th and 18th seasons of this modern version of Feud (which started in 1999). I'm assuming it's probable Steve Harvey will stick around for these two seasons (his current contract ends in the 2014-15 season). GSN must be happy.

  1. This is a good sign for The Chase, hopefully this will continue.

Family Feud getting renewed is not surprising, GSN will probably rerun it for at least the next decade. So get used to me saying Mr. Rerun, because it looks like that name isn't going away anytime soon.
