  1. Seeing these numbers, here's what I predict the schedule will look like soon if nothing gets acquired.

    8:00am Match Game
    8:30am Match Game
    9:00am Super Password
    9:30am Password Plus
    10:00am Sale of the Century
    10:30am Press Your Luck
    11:00am $25k/$100k Pyramid
    11:30am Match Game
    12:00pm Press Your Luck
    12:30pm Whammy
    1:00pm Family Feud (O'Hurley)
    1:30pm Family Feud (O'Hurley)
    2:00pm Catch 21
    2:30pm The Pyramid
    3:00pm Lingo
    3:30pm 1 vs. 100
    4:00pm Chain Reaction
    4:30pm Chain Reaction
    5:00pm Family Feud (Karn)
    5:30pm Family Feud (Karn)
    6:00pm Family Feud (Harvey)
    6:30pm Family Feud (Harvey)

    Monday nights
    Minute to Win It (Fieri)

    Tuesday nights
    7:00pm Family Feud (Harvey)
    7:30pm Family Feud (Harvey)
    8:00pm The Chase (first-run)
9:00pm Minute to Win It (Ohno first-run)

    Wednesday and Thursday nights
Leave it as is for now.

    Friday nights
    Lingo OR Flashback Fridays

    Saturday nights
    7:00pm Family Feud (Harvey)
    7:30pm Family Feud (Harvey)
    8:00pm Family Feud (Karn)
    8:30pm Family Feud (Karn)
    9:00pm The Chase

Sunday nights needs a change, but I really don't see that happening unless 5th Grader, Millionaire, or Wheel of Fortune gets acquired.

  2. Just a thought but right now I'd actually switched Wednesday and Thursday nights. Newlywed (9-11pm)/Harvey (7-9pm) on Wednesday, all Harvey (7-11pm) Thursday. Just for a shake-up.

I'd actually think about axing Karn Feud from daytime completely and leave the O'Hurley hour at 1pm, Harvey at 6pm. If one of GSN's originals isn't doing so hot from 2-6pm, then maybe a return of Karn after some rest.

That's what Family Feud needs on the schedule now. REST.

  3. Interesting Wednesday and Thursday night idea, I currently don't watch either night, but it could shake up the ratings.

I agree about Karn, I was just having trrouble of thinking of something to put in the 5pm hour; but if GSN could put originals from 2pm-6pm, I could see ratings improving and variety making a comeback. Here's what I could see an afternoon shakeup look like.

    2:00pm 1 vs. 100
    2:30pm Lingo
    3:00pm Whammy
    3:30pm The Pyramid
    4:00pm Chain Reaction
    4:30pm Chain Reaction
    5:00pm Catch 21
    5:30pm Catch 21

Feud needs a rest in general. Whether it's removing some afternoon timeslots, or even taking Mr. Rerun out of late-night and putting some old originals or classics back there.

  4. I just cannot see Whammy! returning to weekdays again. It had it's chance for about a year in 2011-12 and it didn't do much. I'd like to see Russian Roulette at 3pm in your scenario (which is basically mine), but I wonder if GSN is willing to bring back a decade-old original?

  5. GSN tried Whammy for a year, so maybe they could try Russian Roulette. If it doesn't work, then move it to weekends and put another original at 3pm.
