Good news for network game show fans. Hollywood Game Night has been renewed for a second season by NBC. Hollywood Game Night has been airing all Summer long with Jane Lynch, and has churned up some good, but not record-breaking numbers by all means. Hollywood Game Night typically averages above four million households for new episodes, Thursdays at 10pm (ET).
Some contestants this season on Hollywood Game Night have been Jason Alexander, Al Roker and Kristin Chenoweth. No word yet on when the second season will air
Hollywood Game Night usually rose from its lead-in The Winner Is, a singing game show, which was cancelled earlier in August.
I admit I am not a huge fan of Hollywood Game Night, but the show still has a solid "format," if you can call it a format since different games are played each episode.
Also in Game Show-ish news, TBS's Deal With It, hosted by Howie Mandel has been renewed. The hidden camera show has been entertaining, and very cheap to produce for TBS. That airs Wednesdays at 10:30pm (ET) on TBS.
