Just one more reason, after eleven years that Meredith Vieira left Who Wants to be a Millionaire after the 2012-13 season.
It is official. Meredith will get her own talk show in the Fall of 2014, which is just about what everybody else in the world in getting now including Steve Harvey, Katie Couric, Anderson Cooper and the latest--Meredith.
Sure, Meredith's talk show may be good. Though, other syndicated talk shows will be in competition in daytime like Katie Couric's and Steve Harvey's, with were both the highest rated of 2012-13 in their first season. We'll see if Meredith can compete in an already crowded market.
Of course, I'm sad to see Meredith leave Millionaire but it was not that big of a surprise to me. She was on for eleven years and ratings were steadily declining slowly for the syndicated series since 2002. It was time for her to move on.
Cedric should be interesting and I can not wait to see his first season spin around in September. Hopefully a few needed format changes will be added too.
