'Love Triangle' statistics

Some may not be happy about Love Triangle returning to the schedule, but turns out runs of Love Triangle from 2011, the only year its seen the light of day on GSN, did not do too badly after all.

New runs of Love Triangle from April 11, 2011 through June 3, 2011 averaged 282,000 viewers, with 17 new runs above 300,000 viewers and just two new runs at 7pm below 200,000 viewers. Some of the reruns later that night at 9pm ended up doing very poorly, below 150,000 viewers in a primetime airing.

By June, Love Triangle only kept one weekday slot at 7pm, with other airings replaced by Improv and 1 vs 100, while by August Love Triangle was cut back to weekends. Still, Love Triangle didn't completely bomb but was still lower rated in 2011 than Lingo, Baggage and The Newlywed Game.

It was rumored that GSN looked into a second season of Love Triangle, but just like most other originals except The Newlywed Game, Love Triangle did not make itself through the original production hiatus of Late 2011/Early 2012.

Sure, if Love Triangle was tried in late nights after Baggage or Steve Harvey's Family Feud, it could do a lot better. After Whammy!, it may not get the same numbers as GSN-Favorite Chain Reaction (which in both airings on July 13th and 14th at 10:30am had 275,000 viewers) but at least the weekend morning schedule is getting refreshed.

Other shows that could possibly end up at 10:30am if Love Triangle bombs (~below 100K numbers) could be Whammy!, Karn Feud, Super Password, Lingo, Classic Pyramid, or back to Chain Reaction. But those are just predictions, and nobody predicted Love Triangle.

One simple solution: If you don't like, just don't watch.
