GSN Ratings April 29-May 5, 2013: '5th Grader' seeks new highs

Wow, after the news of the very outstanding primetime average for the week of April 29-May 5th, this week's ratings set new highs for one show, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?, which had 999,000 viewers Sunday night at 9pm, making 5th Grader the highest show this week, topping American Bible Challenge for the second week in a row.

The new episode of American Bible Challenge came in second place, while Steve Harvey Family Feud totaled the top 18 out of 22 slots that week.

Not bad numbers at all. Sale of the Century had 259,000 viewers Thursday morning, the best yet, but Super Password was the top classic of the week with 356,000 viewers on Tuesday, 48th place overall. No complaints about anything else in the afternoon.

Monday Family Feud (7-11PM): 314K
Tuesday Minute to Win It (7-11PM): 289K (10pm: 188K)
Wednesday Family Feud (Harvey) (7-11PM): 537K
Thursday Family Feud (Harvey) (7-9PM): 576K
Friday Minute to Win It/Baggage (7-11PM): 207K; Baggage (8-10PM): 206K
Saturday Family Feud (8-11PM): 309K
Sunday 5th Grader (7-10PM): 676K

We can conclude now that the primetime average did very well, due to 5th Grader on Sunday, the highest rated, least-promoted night of the week. Every other night did beyond exceptional except Friday. Baggage and Minute to Win It continue to bomb, big time. Without Friday night, the primetime average would have been near half a million viewers. Tuesday did just alright with Minute to Win It, which is still trying to recover from Family Trade. The first three hours on Tuesday night did very well, averaging over 310,000 viewers.
