Another good way to spice up the schedule would be to bring back NBC's Deal or No Deal. It was a hit on NBC, and a huge hit on GSN in reruns (for GSN's standards).
acquired in 2009 by GSN alongside 1 vs 100, and had massive reruns from June 2009 to around June 2012, then left the schedule completely last Labor Day. Deal was brought back starting October 29, 2012 for six weeks, weekdays at 4pm. At some points throughout 2010-11 NBC's Deal or No Deal had 25 slots a week, and that was on top of the syndicated version.
Sure, I could tell you that (insert week here) in 2009/10 had Deal or No Deal in the top 10 rating slots of the week. That basically went with any week for about a year and a half. Deal or No Deal back then is just like how Steve Harvey's Family Feud works now in the numbers.
Still, I do think Deal or No Deal should have a weekend slot to cover up some of Dog Eat Dog's massive run cycles. In the first place, I wanted Dog Eat Dog to limit Deal or No Deal. But now, the opposite. I'm not sure if it would work in primetime again, but they could try it Friday nights. Friday nights don't have much to lose in the first place.
